It creates a smooth, non-stick surface on steel mandrels, making it easy to shape and release cork, EVA, and other handle materials without sticking or tearing.
Simply apply a thin coat, buff to a glossy finish, and your mandrel is ready for grip turning. This wax prevents epoxy and glue from permanently bonding to the steel while still keeping materials firmly in place for accurate shaping. Builders can even use fast-set 5-minute epoxy to temporarily secure grip sections—then slide them off cleanly after shaping.
Application Instructions:
- Surface prep: Clean mandrel thoroughly, removing any silicone-based parting agents.
- Apply: Spread a thin, even coat with a clean rag. Wipe away excess.
